Log spammers to table instead of email
« on: July 25, 2009, 06:50:49 PM »
Hi,

It would be real nice if AVH First Defense Against Spam would record events in a log table instead of emailing the blog admin.
The log table could then be queried for graphs and other cool stuff.

In the next release the stopped spammers will be logged.
This will be very, and I mean very limited for now.

Only the attempts will be logged per month for now. No IP or day will logged. Maybe in a future release a more elaborate statistic option will be implemented.

Hello!

I have feature request:
Show log of all blocked, S,C,H records like it realized in http:BL plugin - its very useful for understanding which user-agents accessing site etc.

Table:
IP     Date     User agent     Last seen     Threat     Type2     Blocked

Something like that

Just log all B,S,C,H etc in a table and in special page of plugin (Log) show all entries, its simple as 1-2-3 ;-)

I'll check the http:BL plugin and see what it logs.

To clarify for me, "all B,S,C,H records"
B = Blocked
S =  Spam ?
C = Clean ?
H = ???

But it was definately something I was looking into.
I appreciate the input on what you guys would like to see in a log.

Peter
B - blocked
S - suspicious
C - comment spam
H - harverster (email harvester)

For example, part of log of http:BL^:
Quote
