add collapsible category

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a collapsible menu to this plugin.

For example using jquery or mootools to listy parent categories then when clicked to scroll open the child categories.

By the way thanks for the great plugin using it on 2 of my sites

Currently I use the WordPress core functions to display the categories.
I'll have to research rewriting those functions and implementing as plugin functions.

I would like to second this option.  It would be great to have the option of displaying each top tier category as a drop-down menu with the child categories shown in those menus.

You can create multiple widgets and select categories you would like to display. in each separate widget.

The collapsible widget is something I'll start working on. It would be something like the widget Kernel Compile Articles on my blog.
