Just a few questions:
What version of WordPress are you using?
What version of the plugin are you using?

I checked the shortcode locally and it worked for me
Code: [Select]
[avhamazon locale="US" asin="B001QXBNNS" linktype="pic-text"]
In the edit Posts page, can you find teh item using the AVH Amazon box?

You can use the plugin for what you are trying to do. There are several options:
- Add a item to a post or page, like you try to do now. This means it will always be the same item shown.
- Add an item to a post or page and using a wishlist on Amazon. You can randomly display items from the wishlist.
- Create a page with all products from the Wishlist using the shortcode.

So it depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
